Rubber spring is the general name of rubber shock absorber block. According to different language habits, it can also be called rubber pile, composite spring, rubber spring, metal spring, compound spiral spring, rubber shock absorber block and so on.

  A spring made of rubber. The elastic modulus of the rubber spring is small, and the elastic deformation of the rubber spring is larger, so as to absorb the shock and vibration. It can be subjected to multiple loads at the same time, but the high temperature resistance and oil resistance are worse than that of steel springs. Rubber springs are often used in mechanical equipment, vehicle walking mechanism and suspension, so as to reduce vibration and buffer. The rubber spring can be designed according to the needs of a variety of structural forms (see photo), commonly used are cylindrical, conical and flat diamond, ring shaped and combined. In order to maintain a certain shape and transfer load after the spring is loaded, the rubber springs are equipped with steel constraints such as steel plate, circular tube, disk, cone and other structural forms.
  Main features
  The shape of rubber spring is not limited, it has large elastic deformation, it is easy to realize nonlinear demand, and the effect of vibration isolation and sound insulation is good. The compound rubber spring is compared with the rubber spring, the former shape is restricted by the metal spiral spring, the linear request is high, the weight is heavy, but its load bearing heavy load merit is not the pure rubber spring analogy.
  Advantage
  (1) the shape is not restricted, and the stiffness of each direction can be freely chosen according to the design requirements.
  (2) although the modulus of elasticity is small, it can get large elastic deformation and easy to realize the ideal nonlinear characteristics.
 
(3) it has a high internal resistance, which has a good effect on the absorption of sudden shock and high frequency vibration and sound insulation.
 
(4) the same rubber spring can bear multidirectional load at the same time, so that the structure of the system is simplified.
  (5) easy to install and disassemble, without lubrication, it is good for maintenance.
  shortcoming
  (1) high temperature resistance and oil resistance are worse than steel springs.
 
(2) the rubber spring is used in the project, the shape is simpler than the bellows, but it is very difficult to calculate their elastic properties accurately.
 
(3) because they are not pure elastomers, they belong to a viscoelastic material, so the mechanical properties are more complex.
  application
  Rubber machines, such as vibrating machines, double decker buses, trucks and other industrial machinery, are usually used for damping and buffering in mechanical equipment, vehicle running mechanism and suspension. Rubber springs can also be designed into various structural forms according to the needs of the work.
